If your company already has an IT department, some steps have already been taken before the urgent need for workplace flexibility. However, if you have not taken any measures related to LGPD, you will certainly feel unprepared. b. Awareness Raising and Good Practices
You can implement various security measures, but if your employees do not understand the reason for the measures adopted, it will not produce the desired result, and may even cause losses. Make sure you train them and make them aware of the need for all the procedures.
It is also important to make them aware of everything that may or may not be a threat within the virtual environment.
In addition, it is important to have a crisis containment and protection plan in place for physical documents. The loss of paper records is considered a violation of the LGPD and it is the company's obligation to report and notify those affected.
All of this is important for protecting company data overall, but within a Home Office model, it's important to pay attention to the ways in which home connects. According to the 3rd Annual Global Password Security Report from LastPass by LogMeIn, 80% of hacker-related breaches are linked to stolen and reused credentials. Therefore, businesses should take steps to improve security with passwords and access to reduce risk.
