Technological innovations for 2019

Every year the technological universe brings with it countless innovations that will impact the world in the coming decades. Learn now about the technological innovations for 2019:

Virtual Reality

It is a technology already very popular in retail, especially in games, but the novelty is in the insertion of this technology in the workplace. For a clearer definition: "Virtual reality is an interface technology between a user and an operating system through 3D graphic resources or 360º images, whose objective is to create the sensation of presence in a virtual environment different from the real one".

It is very useful in the business world, from sharing documents, facilitating the scheduling of meetings, to reducing travel costs in order to meet other co-workers, because it is possible to hold an important meeting, for example, using this technology that allows individuals to communicate as if they were side by side. It also serves to guide and train employees under the supervision of a manager who can watch the whole process from afar.

Large companies are already deploying this segment of interface technology on a daily basis, as it seems to be highly profitable to pioneer new products.

Internet of Things (IoT)

"Internet of things", in free translation, is a concept that refers to the interconnection of everyday objects with the internet. This is already common in light sensors and security cameras, for example, but the great expectation is that this will grow, expanding to almost all types of objects such as books, medicines, postal orders, etc. In theory, this would mean that there would be no out-of-stock products or expired medicines, as we would easily know their location and consumption time.

It is also possible to think of domestic solutions, such as the refrigerator launched by Samsung that sends photos of missing food and even allows you to make purchases directly from the device.

All this generates an incredible change in the purchase of food and elimination of waste. Allowing objects used in everyday life to be connected to the network makes our activities simpler and better used.

Smart Cities

These are projects in which an urban space is the stage for intensive experiments in the use of communication and information technologies. The focus is basically to create a sustainable city where technologies are used in the planning process.

They are systems of people interacting and using energy, materials, services and finance to catalyse economic development and improved quality of life.

According to the UN, the world population will reach 8.6 billion by 2030, an increase of 1 billion people in 13 years, so new technologies that impact on reality are very welcome, because every technological process that aims at a more sustainable and adaptable world generates immeasurable profits to the population and the planet.
